Secondary Trauma Relief: Introductory Cohort

This is one of two identical cohorts to provide an introductory overview of Secondary Trauma, Vicarious Trauma, and Generational Burnout. This training will include signs, risks and ways to mitigate the negative impact of Secondary Trauma. 

This training is FREE and open to the public. BBS CEUs will be provided (registration in Placer Learns is required to receive CE credit for these trainings).

This training is intended for anyone interested in understanding the short and long-term effects of emotional and psychological trauma and how to effectively respond and recover from trauma. It is recommended for Social Workers, Educators, Counselors and Psychotherapists, First Responders, Foster and Adoptive Parents, Leadership staff, Call Centers, and Leaders of workplace environments where stress impacts performance, moral and employee well-being.

Two opportunities to attend:

  • Cohort 1 – June 8, 2023, 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Cohort 2 – June 8, 2023, 1:00pm-4:00pm

One of the two introductory cohorts is required in order to participate in the Level-up Cohort on June 22, 2023. The Level-up Cohort will provide an opportunity for participants to actively participate in seeking support in treatment planning.

This is a remote training with Zoom registration available through the Alvarado Group; however, registration in Placer Learns is required to receive CE credit for these trainings.
