Law & Ethics 6-hour for License Renewal
This course examines specific recent and planned changes to California law and professional ethics codes for mental health professionals. Case examples bring focus to how these changes actually apply in clinical work, inside and outside of the therapy room. Participants will gain understanding of how their personal values and ethics sometimes enter into professional decision making. The training will also address common legal and ethical issues encountered when working with children and families. We close with discussion of the expanding role of technology and social media in our clients’ lives and in professional practice.
