Nurtured Heart Approach: Nuts & Bolts for Providers: Intro and Refresher

Description: This full day training is designed for social workers and those in similar fields interested in using the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA®). Participants will learn how to implement a higher level of NHA in a social work setting and will discover how to apply NHA to themselves. The individual, small group and family support environment setting will be explored to improve overall client/social work climate. Participants will also learn how NHA fits with systems of support within their work. Practical ideas and tools for implementation to move toward success with NHA will be shared including participation in Greatness Kids Initiative activities for use with families.
Objectives:
  1. Participants will be able to communicate the foundational principals and standards of NHA applicable to children and adults;
  2. Participants will be able to identify the NHA approach and ways to use the approach with fidelity in their work and personal environment;
  3. Participants will be able to apply the principles of NHA to implement the practice in the home, education, and therapeutic setting;
